"Laissez les bon temps rouler" is the official greeting of Mardi Gras. You'll hear laissez les bon temps rouler (pronounced lay-say le bon tom roo-lay) over and over again at Mardi Gras celebrations. It means "let the good times roll" in Cajun French.
It's Fat Tuesday and March 1st! It is the traditional season for Mardi Gras and I recently visited New Orleans so I decided to share some of my road trip adventures with you. Taking a spontaneous road trip is one of my favorite past times. All of the sites and sounds of New Orleans were just close enough to pop in for a night. The fun began with a stroll downtown, up Bourbon Street, and I even walked up unexpectedly on the set of the Disney film in the making; Haunted Mansion Joyride starring Eddie Murphy! The Vandal hookah lounge was a cool hangout spot with delicious wings and drinks. Swung by a swanky boutique hotel with a dope mural and interior decor, and brunch the next morning at Nice Guys was the best finale to the trip. What's a visit without a good twerk in your hips and shrimp-n-lobster grits?! 🙌🏾 Check out the photos and video reel on the official @ajasocial Instagram page and share with me some of your favorite spots to visit in the Big Easy! 📿⚜️💜💛💚
